Since submitting our joint Expression of Interest earlier this year, we have strengthened our work as one team. Our collaboration is built on complementary strengths in governance and code administration, deep knowledge of the data flows and processes that support the market, along with strong digital and technology capability.
This combined expertise, together with our proven track record in delivering strategic sector change, underpins our approach to becoming a successful gas code manager that meets the expectations of all stakeholders. The two webinars held to date, where we shared our progress and plans, have been vital in helping us understand and prepare to deliver against those expectations.
Thank you to everyone who has engaged with us and shared their views. Engagement will remain ongoing; keeping stakeholders at the centre of our approach will continue to be a priority as we move into the next stage.
What happens next
We understand that Ofgem will assess our submission, with the aim of publishing a proposal on granting the licence within two months. If successful, this stage will be followed by an implementation and assurance process, including regular checkpoints with Ofgem, before any code manager licence is formally granted.
No decisions have been made at this time, and as such, we recognise the need to continue engaging proactively and constructively with Ofgem, as well as keeping stakeholders informed.
