Find out about our range of interactive charts which display National Unidentified Gas (UIG) levels.

UIG is the gas off-taken from Local Distribution Zones (LDZ) but lost or unregistered on the network

As the Central Data Services Provider (CDSP) to Britain’s gas market, we’re responsible for calculating and monitoring UIG levels across the country.

Additional information and helpful UIG resource material is available on our dedicated UIG webpage

Our interactive charts display National UIG levels

Each chart focusses on either different aspects of UIG or related processes such as reconciliation.

You can now view and download the raw data used for each chart on their individual pages.

UIG as % of total throughput

‘Throughput’ is a term for the amount of gas that passes through the system during a given period of time.

This chart displays monthly UIG as a percentage of total throughput at allocation and after the reconciliations that have been processed so far.

UIG % by gas day

A daily view of national UIG percentage levels for the first (D+1) and last (D+5) run of allocation.

% of original allocation reconciled to date

A monthly view of the percentage of allocation that has been reconciled to date.
