Centred around the theme of ‘embracing change’, Xoserve’s Customer Strategy Day emphasised the crucial role of gas on the path to net zero.

An incredible turnout

On 8 July, Xoserve welcomed customers and stakeholders from across the gas industry to its headquarters in Solihull.

A core objective of the day was to kickstart engagement from the outset of the new Xoserve business planning cycle for 2026-29 (BP26).

Attendees of the event heard about Xoserve’s progress towards existing goals set by BP25 and the next milestones in major change programmes such as Project Trident. They were also given an insight into the development of new plans under BP26, hearing directly from Xoserve’s CEO Steve Brittan and the senior leadership team - with opportunities throughout the day to interact, contribute opinions and ask questions.

Also on the agenda was the launch of the new Xoserve brand. The team was excited to share a new look and logo, which represent the company’s vision to deliver the gas industry’s digital heartbeat, using data for consumer benefit and to accelerate net zero progress. The focus was on how the Central Data Service Provider (CDSP) could continue to improve its services and performance while also evolving its role to act as a critical enabler; deepening collaboration across the energy industry and giving gas stakeholders a voice throughout the energy transition.

As Steve Brittan explained:

‘Xoserve has been at the heart of the gas system as its CDSP for the past 20 years. We’re excited to evolve our brand, set new ambitions and demonstrate our commitment to playing an active role in the future of gas. Our role is not to set the agenda but to support it; by highlighting the crucial role that gas will play in decarbonising our energy system, ensuring that the gas industry has its opinions heard as changes happen, and providing the data required to inform the direction of travel on the path to net zero.

‘We were delighted to see such an incredible turnout for our Customer Strategy Day and want to thank everyone who made it. Communication and collaboration are vital  to the development of our new business plan and to the future health of the gas industry as a whole.’
